it\'s a great honor for me to stand here to deliver a speech to you. then today i want to talk something about dreams and reality.
as the famous russian litterateur lev tolstoy (列夫、托尔斯泰)said, "ideal is the beacon(烟火、灯塔). without ideal, there is no secure (无虑的, 安全的, 安心的, 可靠的, 保险的)direction; without a direction, there is no life." so theres no doubt that everyone needs his or her own ideal. have you ever thought that what is practical and sensible(.明智的, 有感觉的, 明理的) will connect with our most treasured dreams? maybe, to somebody, reality has little relation to ideal. to others nothing can be done without the sense of reality. so make our dreams a part of our reality. and make our reality a part of our dreams. there is no reason why our dreams must oppose our reality. improve our dreams and our reality by bringing them together.
as a university student, establishing a dream is one of the most important things we have to do .but everyone must see the reality clearly at first. your family condition, your personal ability, your social intercourse (交往、交流), your subject and the you want to do, these things show you the reality and lead you to establish a dream.

如今的我们已步入青春的殿堂，怀揣着火一样的热忱，去探求未知世界。可是，青春是什么?有人说，青春是绚烂多彩的花季，是隐晦而缠绵的雨季，是青翠嫩绿中透露出暖意融融的春，是浪漫炽热中洋溢着热情似火的夏;有人说，青春是欢笑时的泪水，是流泪时的微笑，是轻松的压抑，是沉重的放纵;还有人说青春是一坛醇厚的酒，是一束明艳的花。也许，不同的人有着异样的诠释方式，但总有一处共同点，那就是青春需要勇气，理想与激情。
青春的路上总是不平坦的，她不会永远充满着炽热明媚的阳光，往往有的只是朦胧的光亮，需要我们去一步步探索。这条道路遍布荆棘，很可能被刺的遍体鳞伤，体无完肤，然而，青春不允许我们望而生畏，停下求知的步伐去做温室的花瓶，美国英格索尔曾经说过：对勇气最大的考验是能否做到败而不馁。面对失败，我们需要勇气去承受命运无情的宣判。忆顾曾经，总结教训，展望未来，在失败中擦亮希望的火花，迸射出成功的烈焰。伴随着失败是无尽的坎坷，可它更能磨炼人得意志。正如空谷幽兰，没有阳光雨露却依然绽放，用微笑温暖着清冷的山谷。
我们是风华正茂的中学生，我们应该有勇气去拼搏。作为当代的天之骄子，应如诸葛亮所说：志当存高远。要用坚定不移的信念照亮光明美好的未来。因为青春，我们不只会写晦涩难辨的火星文，也不只是会构思童话世界里遥不可及的城堡。我们是有理想有目标的90后。而那些没有目标的人生就像没有船舵的航船，随波逐流，就像没有方向盘的列车，四处乱撞。它即使一路驶来，也只会和坎坷，泥泞为伴，也只会与蓁蓁荆棘为伍。拥有目标便能笑看风云，让青春化作一团火，一朵花，让笑容与彩霞齐飞，让汗水与成功相伴。我们的脉搏将跳动着节奏，智慧必将弹奏最华丽的乐章。
勇气和理想要靠激情来延续，希望与梦想给予了我们生命的激情，也是追求快乐的源泉和动力。激情是划过天际的流星，璀璨了整个夜空，在短暂的炫目后留下是永恒的消逝，却足以打破时间的定律，永载史册，成就不朽。

whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being squo;s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of whatsquo;s next and the joy of the game of living . in the center of your heart and my heart theresquo;s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .
when the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

five score years ago, a great american, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the emancipation proclamation. this momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. it came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity.
but one hundred years later, the negro still is not free. one hundred years later, the life of the negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. one hundred years later, the negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. one hundred years later, the negro is still languished in the corners of american society and finds himself an exile in his own land. and so we've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.
in a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. when the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution and the declaration of independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every american was to fall heir. this note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the "unalienable rights" of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." it is obvious today that america has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. instead of honoring this sacred obligation, america has given the negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked "insufficient funds."
